BRENT CLEMENT, Interium President
Brent Clement serves as the vice president of the West Calcasieu Port board of commissioners. He was appointed to the board in April 2008.
Clement, 48,was appointed by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jurors representing Ward 4. A resident of Ward Four for 40 years, Clement is the business development manager of KJ Services of Sulphur. Clement served eight years on the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury. He served as the CPPJ Vice President in 2003 and as its President in 2004. He currently serves as the Calcasieu Parish 4-H Livestock Sales Chairman. He previously served on the advisory board and as treasurer of the Southwest Louisiana Partnership for Economic Development.
Clement and his wife, Wendi, have three children and one grandchild. They reside in the Carlyss area.

MATT VINCENT, Vice President
Matt Vincent was appointed to the West Calcasieu Port board of commissioners in April 2008. Vincent, 51, was appointed by Calcasieu Parish Police Jurors representing Ward Four who selected him from a list of three candidates nominated by the West Calcasieu Association of Business.
A life-long resident of Sulphur, Vincent has been vice president of Century Group Inc. in Sulphur for the past 26 years. He is a graduate of Sulphur High School and Texas A&M University. He is the past president and board member of the Louisiana High School Rodeo Association, and currently serves as the vice president of Sulphur Parks & Recreation Board of Commissioners. He is a member of the Sulphur Athletic Association.
Vincent and his wife, Delinda have three children -- Carly, Chase and Blake, and attend Henning Memorial Methodist Church.

TIM DOUGHERTY, Secretary/Treasurer
Tim Dougherty was appointed to the West Calcasieu Port board of commissioners in 1992. Doutherty, 57, was appointed by Lake Charles Central Trades Labor Council.
A 1969-graduate of Sulphur High School, Dougherty has been employed by CITGO Petroleum for 33 years as a machinist. He has been a member of the International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers for 35 years and has served as president of IAM Local 1317 and IAM District Lodge 161 for 18 years. He also has served on the IAM Local 1317 negotiating committee for 23 years. He also is a member of the Southland Airfield board of commissioners. and his wife, Lydia, reside in Sulphur and have two sons and four grandchildren.

WILMER DUGAS, Board Member
Wilmer Dugas was appointed to the West Calcasieu Port board of commissioners by the Sulphur City Council in October 2008.
Dugas is a member of the management team at Don Shetler Ford in Sulphur where he has been employed since 1980. Prior to that, he worked in law enforcement and the financial field. A native of Erath, La., Dugas is a graduate of Erath High School and attended the University of Southwest Louisiana. He served six years in the U.S. Army Reserve. He served on the Sulphur City Council from 1986-2006 and also served as the council's chairman and vice chairman. He is a member of the Sulphur Kiwanis Club, the Sulphur Group, Sulphur Lions Club, West Calcasieu Association of Business, Sierra Club of West Calcasieu, Optimist Club, and the Knights of Columbus. He serves on the Care/Help board of directors. Dugas is married to Barbara Brown Dugas.

DICK KENNISON, Board Member
Sulphur-resident Joseph R. “Dick” Kennison was appointed to the West Calcasieu Port board of commissioners by the Sulphur Mayor Ron LeLeux in May 2009.
Kennison, 63, is a 40-year veteran of the forestry and lumber industry. He serves as Chairman & CEO for Sulphur-based Kennison Forest Products, Inc., a position he has held since 1997. A native of Port Barre, La., Kennison is a graduate of Port Barre High School and attended Grayson City Junior College. His military service includes three years in the U.S. Air Force with a tour in Vietnam. He was discharged in 1969 with the rank of sergeant. His extensive community service includes six years on the Sulphur City Council (serving twice as council chairman), West Calcasieu Association of Commerce member (president in 2003), Chairman of the Chamber Southwest Board of Directors in 2008, Rotary Club of Sulphur, Maplewood-Hollywood Lions Club, Knights of Columbus Council, Care Help Inc. of Sulphur, Sulphur Industrial Development Board, West Cal Cam Hospital Finance Committee and IRB Board for the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. He has been named the City of Sulphur’s Volunteer of the Year (2005), the Outstanding Service Award by the Habitat for Humanity (2002), the WCAC Citizen of the Year (2002) and the YMBC President’s Award (1980).
Kennison and his wife of 38 years, Fran, are members of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and have four children and 11 grandchildren. |
